Spread your wings and fly..

Hey lovelies,

I really wanted to do an outfit post for you on sat to show off the dress I rented (and you chose) for the engagement party I went to...

...but I was sick with the flu (worst timing!) and was running late, so I didn’t get a chance to take any pictures of my outfit :(

I loved the dress, and wore it with a blazer to the engagement party. I also had a Halloween party to go to after the engagement party (busy, busy) so I took the blazer off and put some wings on, in a half-assed attempt to be a “butterfly” lol.

Not sure why they had a Halloween party last sat when it’s Halloween this sat, but whatevs!

Now I need your help again. I've got 2 weddings coming up in November that are a week apart. Usually for weddings I'd rent a dress but not sure what to do in this case, so I need your advice -

Should I...

a) Rent 2 x dresses?
b) Rent 1 x dress, Buy 1 x cheap dress?
c) Buy 1 x nice (expensive) dress and wear it to both?

Today I wore -

♥ Miss shop white shirt
♥ Country road cardi
♥ Cue black pants
♥ Siren heels
♥ OPI What’s with the catitude? nailpolish

xx

  3. I love the butterfly idea, very cute :) I'm all for cheap fashion, so I would go buy two cheap dresses. But for you, maybe buy one expensive one to wear to both?

  7. Love the colorful print. The wings were a clever way to transform the dress into a costume.

I'm with the others: it's much better to buy one nice dress and wear it twice. Good clothes are worthwhile investments.

  8. It's always nice wearing new clothes so I guess rent 1, buy 1? But I also agree with the rest that you could easily change up the styling on one fabulous dress and wear it twice.

The butterfly dress is really nice btw=)

  9. mm.. it depends, if there will be the same people at both weddings then probably you should rent two dresses, if not, you can just rent one and wear it to the both of them.xx

  17. Such a pretty print and fabric!!

I think if you find a dress you LOVE that's a splurge, then go for it. otherwise I would choose option a or b.

  19. First of all I love the butterfly dress, I'm looking to buy something similar myself. Second I think renting is always better when it comes to event-dresses because the chances of u wearing the dress more then once are were slim, especially within 2 weeks. I think renting two fabulous dresses would be the better choice.

  20. Love the dress on you! Are there going to be people there who will also attend both the weddings? If not, I would probably just buy one great dress and style it differently.
