My sister and I went to a girls night event at one of the local pubs in canberra and it was actually pretty fun! We got champers, cocktails and canapes while we were presented with this seasons fashion trends and given tips on what to wear to suit our body shape. The outfits were, for the most part, vintage.. and they were amazing.
This is what I wore -
Myers dress, Sass trisha stud shoulder knit, Opaque tights, Betts shoes, Flower ring from boutique, Indy C stripe bag, Beanie - can't remember sorry, OPI russian navy nailpolishI didn't even know canberra had any vintage shops but now I that know I really want to go vintage shopping! :)Do you shop vintage?

@ (Canberra) City Girl - Nope I haven't heard of Tilley's (where is that?) the vintage shop is bel's avery in manuka. I love shopping at the salvos too (you should check out macquarie - I've got so much good stuff from there) xx

ReplyDeleteVintage shopping is a pretty new trend here in Greece! The first vintage/thrift store opened in my hometown some months ago! It's getting popular, especially due to recession! I'm personally, very much in favor of vintage items! Although I'm kind of uncomfortable that items from the 80's and 90's are considered vintage! (hey, I don't feel that old!!) :) :)
Tilley's is a cafe/jazz lounge/bar/whatever in Lyneham. The pics you had of the bar looked very similar. I love Bel's Avery!
ReplyDeleteThere is also one near the o'connor shops called pandora's, but Ive never been in there. Also, Salvage sells vintage at the back of landspeed records in the city.
