Hey lovelies, we just got back from our mini-break to Hobart (I didn't want to leave!)
We had the most amazing time while we were there and despite it being ridiculously cold we did a lot of walking/exploring around town.
We didn't get the chance to go up Mt. Wellington though which is a bit of a bummer.. we did however go to the Cadbury factory
(which is a popular chocolate brand in Australia and the UK). Not quite like Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory but we got free blocks of chocolate so I was happy :)
Now that we came, we saw and we conquered! I thought I'd pass on some pearls of wisdom to those thinking of travelling to Hobart..
Things you should know/do ♥ There are hardly any shops/cafes/restaurants that are open on the weekend (during the day)
♥ You have to visit the Jackman & McRoss Bakery (the food is amazing)
♥ If you want to visit the Cadbury factory I would recommend doing it as a tour (Mt. Wellington, Cascade brewery & the Cadbury factory tour) because the alternative is catching a local bus there and back (which is an hour each way)
♥ I highly recommend shopping at the clothing boutiques
♥ Finding a supermarket is difficult (so is trying to get takeaway delivered)
♥ Take the time to explore Hobart by foot, it really is gorgeous
Hope this is a little helpful and I haven't bored you all too much!
I won't have much time to settle back in before I'm off again.. I'll be heading to Sydney this friday with the girls. We're going to the script concert - I can't wait!!! :D
I'm hoping to take lots of pics for you while I'm away, in the meantime, I hope you're all having an amazing day (just think only 2 more working days to go - woohoo!)
xx
