A Day in the Life (Australia Day)

I thought it would be fun to share with you guys what a typical day looks like for me. Obviously weekends are more fun than weekdays (who wants to see pictures of a computer screen..?) and what better day to document than Australia Day!!

So here goes..

8:45am - Grabbing something light to eat
(I should eat fresh fruit for breakfast more often!)



9:30am - Showered and ready for the day



9:45am - On our way to brunch with the in-laws



10am - Brunch = Chai Latte & Salmon Stack from Artespresso
(not much of a stack.. but delicious!)



12pm - Recycling week-old flowers



12:30pm - Listening to Triple J's Hottest 100



12:45pm - Retail Therapy!



3pm - Adding some glitter to my day



3:15pm - Catching up on Pretty Little Liars
(I'm obsessed with this show)



4:15pm - Putting our wedding album together
(it's a slow process using double sided tape)



5:15pm - Practicing doing my sister's hair and makeup
for her wedding in March



9pm - Dolled up and ready for a night out
(in my new dress!)



10.30pm - Enjoying a cider.. or two.. or three..



So there you have it!

I'm walking on sunshine..

OMG I can't believe I'm getting married in less than 3 weeks! :O where has the time gone!? Luckily almost everything for the wedding/honeymoon is sorted so I can stop stressing and just be excited!

I wore this outfit to my "faux" hens night on Saturday night.. I say "faux" because I didn't really want to have a hens night but my friends insisted on doing something! So they said called it a fake/faux hens and it was SO much fun! We had an amazing dinner with games (how well do you know rob?) and cocktails and they bought rings from diva for us all to wear (mine was the biggest of course!). They also made me a super cute "bride-to-be" CD which I have not stopped listening too. Here are a few pics from the night..


Note to self - Don't use a cocktail glass as a tripod!

I'm a bumble-bee!

..well I was on NYE anyway :)

A big group of us went to Jindabyne (of all places) for new years and it was so much fun! It was great to do something different. I just couldn't stand the thought of another new years eve spent in a hot, crowded club where some drunk would spill something all over me. It was great to dress up too! Costumes are always fun and I loved the costumes my best friend Emma picked up for us (she's a lady bug). It was a great start to the new year..

..and what a year it will be with our wedding in April (I can't believe I'll be a Mrs soon!) and trip to Bali and Thailand for 6 weeks after that! I can't wait! There's alot of prep work to do beforehand though and I'm not just talking about wedding arrangements, I'm talking about losing some weight, not a huge amount, just enough to feel confident in my wedding dress and bikini!

I made an attempt last year to lose weight by trying to eat healthy and exercise but I kept giving up and after 5 months I'd put ON weight! So now I'm on the dukan diet (which I'm sure you've all heard about as it's the latest fad diet) which basically means no carbs, sugar, alcohol or fruit until you get to your goal weight (did I mention you can only have veggies every second day?) then you can start bringing these foods back into your diet. Well let me tell you.. I've been on this diet for a week and it's SO BORING and I'm craving sugar like a crazy person BUT I have lost 2kgs already so it must be working. Lets just hope I can stick with it!

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and I had the BEST day!

I took the day off work (hallelujah!) and woke up to breakfast in bed (robbie made me pancakes with strawberry love hearts - he's so sweet!)..


Then met up with mum for lunch..




..and to see Harry Potter (in 3D - hence the sexy glasses)



Then went to my new fave vintage shop and bought some much needed dresses..







Mum and I then met up with the rest of the family for dinner (at one of my fave restaurants).


All in all, a perfect birthday! :)

Oh and I did take pictures of my outfit but I might post them another day as this post is already picture heavy.

Girls Night Out

My sister and I went to a girls night event at one of the local pubs in canberra and it was actually pretty fun! We got champers, cocktails and canapes while we were presented with this seasons fashion trends and given tips on what to wear to suit our body shape. The outfits were, for the most part, vintage.. and they were amazing.

This is what I wore -

Myers dress, Sass trisha stud shoulder knit, Opaque tights, Betts shoes, Flower ring from boutique, Indy C stripe bag, Beanie - can't remember sorry, OPI russian navy nailpolish

I didn't even know canberra had any vintage shops but now I that know I really want to go vintage shopping! :)

Happy Snaps - Sydney

I had the best time with the girls in Sydney! We went shopping, had yum cha, went out drinking, made a new friend from Germany! haha it was all so much fun :)

Wedding Two

Yesterday's wedding was not nearly as good as the one last week (but shh don't tell anyone). I think because it was really humid and muggy all day yesterday, that and the fact that the wedding was very formal (I prefer low-key weddings).

I was also running extremely late so I kinda rushed my outfit/hair/makeup and photos. I wore the same dress as last week but just styled it differently...

I wore subtle makeup again and just curled my hair loosely...

Too much wine last night = a lazy sunday for me hehe.

Wedding One

Yesterday was robbie's birthday and as much as I wished we could have just spent the whole day alone together, we had a wedding to go to!
